Add Pineapple To Your Green Smoothie

When I first started making green smoothies I only added green apple with all greens and the taste was so strong and so hard to get down that I needed to add something sweet. Pineapple did the trick. The taste is great, it makes the smoothie taste less green and I always look forward to waking up to my green smoothie everyday. Also, with adding pineapple you get so many great health benefits including vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium, phosphorus, and potassium. It is also rich in fiber and calories. It has a large amount of manganese, a mineral that is critical to development of strong bones and connective tissue. It also has bromelain which is a proteolytic enzyme that helps the body digest proteins more efficiently and is also considered an effective anti-inflammatory. Adding fresh pineapple daily can help with fewer sinus problems related to allergies. Pineapple is also known to discourage blood clot development. This is why adding pineapple to your green smoothie is a great idea.

Morning Green Smoothie:
Handful of Spinach or Kale
1/4 cup blueberries
1 banana
parsley and cilantro
