Watermelon gets a bad rap for many reasons. I hear all the time watermelon will add water weight and make you bloated this is all BS in my mind. Watermelon offers great benefits to our body and is so refreshing. Don’t pass up on adding it to your diet it will not kill you or give you any side effects. Watermelon is antibacterial anticancer fighting fruit which has vitamins A, C and E, iron, boron and potassium including flavonoids, carotenoids, and triterpenoids—making this fruit a choice for anti-inflammatory and antioxidant health benefits. Antioxidant carotenoids found in watermelon include significant amounts of beta-carotene. One of the more unusual aspects of watermelon is its rich supply of the amino acid, citrulline. Citrulline is an amino acid that is commonly converted by our kidneys and other organ systems (including cells that line our blood vessels) into arginine (another amino acid). When buying watermelon it should have a bright green rind and firm flesh and feel heavy for its size. Store in a cool dark place or in the refrigerator for two or three days.

handful of strawberries
1 banana

Recipe: 2
1 cup blueberries
3 slices of watermelon
1/4 cup cranberries
