Cancer Prevention

Risk factors for cancer include the use of tobacco and alcohol, exposure to toxins in food and the environment, and family history of cancer. Factors that protect against cancers include eating a diet that consists primarily of fresh fruits, vegetables and other whole foods; a healthy, active lifestyle; and avoiding foods and toxins that have been linked to cancer.
MAXIMIZE – organic foods, soy products, antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds.
MINIMIZE – animal protein in meat and dairy products

Healing Foods – apples, apricots, blueberries, cherries, citrus fruits, cranberries, figs, grapes, kiwis, mangoes, papayas, peaches, raspberries, strawberries, watermelon, asparagus, beets, broccoli, carrots, leafy greens, onions, sweet potatoes, tomatoes
Herbs – burdock root, calendula, cayenne, garlic, green tea, parsley, red clover, rosemary, sage, turmeric
